Heidi Simon Craft
I currently have a BA in Business Administration from Beloit College, a JD from William & Mary Law School, and I am working on a M.Ed in Elementary Education (class of 2011). My observation and student teaching placement is in 2nd grade at Mount Vernon Elementary School in Yorktown, VA.

Prior to entering the School of Education, I held a 2-year Post-Graduate Fellowship in Legal Technology at William & Mary Law School, worked as a financial analyst in London, and worked in the hotel industry in Washington, D.C. I have always loved working with children and am excited to begin this new chapter in my life.

I am originally from New York City, and moved to this area in 2002 to enter law school. I have lived here ever since, currently in Gloucester County. I am married and have two cats, Paws and Flounder. My hobbies include reading, computers, and juggling. When I was younger, I attended a circus summer camp, where I learned to juggle and later worked as an Arts & Crafts counselor. Kids find these skills fascinating, and I love sharing them.

The purposes of this portfolio are to show prospective employers a sample of my work throughout this program and to introduce myself and my views on education. Clicking on the links at left will take you to samples of coursework and my philosophies of teaching.
